I owned a Lincoln LS for about 22 months. When it was totaled by hail damage I was ecstatic - plus, my insurance check was $800 less than I paid for it.

Great looking car and handled good, but was somewhat problematic.

Mine had barely 20K miles when I bought it - I put another 20K miles on it. During that 20K miles - I replaced all 6 coils, valvecover gaskets twice, RF power window regulator, and when it was totaled, the AC was starting to get a little weak.

I'm just tired of repeating myself. I say I only want an auto. Someone offers to sell me their car that has a manual. I say I'm looking for a luxury car. People start talking about pick up trucks. I'm talking about my 7 series that I owned for 2 years that was reliable, people tell me not to buy one because they aren't reliable. I'm not cranky, I've had my limit of stupidity for one day.

2 years and it was how old? I don't think it's that they're unreliable; I think that it's that something is going to break eventually, and it isn't going to be cheap.

Have you thought about a newer mustang?

Something like a red 5.0? I know a crabby old fuck that may be selling his in the next six months.

Thanks for the info. I like the looks of them, but they aren't really towards the top of the list of the sedans I like the looks of.

It was about 8 years old when I traded it in. It had a couple of coolant system malfunctions with the same part and a water pump. Both repairs were reasonable, and not unexpected for a car with 100k by the time I got rid of it.

That car is ugly as fuck.
