They don't run forever and I am hard on my vehicles. That and all the stage3 s4's have 120k+ or they are $15-25k. My s4 had 450whp and it held up pretty well, just stupid shit that needed to be replaced, but it only had 89k.
They are awesome cars, but I woundn't recommend an audi v6 biturbo to someone who wants a semi cheap car and probably will want to send it to a shop when it breaks.

    • No diesels.

This is decent, but honestly I like the previous gen styling much more. An 02ish wagon with the sport package and front bumper cover is the fucking balls.

This is a pretty decent option:

The only thing I would say is that for "comfort" you will be better off without a "sport" package, and the longest wheelbase possible. Not sure if a 5 series BMW is going to meet your needs there.

I doubt they would be any better than our Acura, and that can beat the shit out of us on rough roads.

Talk to Dohctr, last I remember he was rolling a 550i of that vintage, traded "up" from his c6 z06.

It's nice but I'd be leery of a Bimmer with high miles, especially the newer ones with iDrive.

have you ever driven one of the newer turbo diesel benz's? I drifted the fuck out of one at the auction, it was hard to tell it was an oil burner.

My 740iL, while obviously the longest wheelbase they have, had the Sport Package and it was very comfortable, but there was some room for improvement. As far back as that suspension was designed, I'd hope the newer SP cars would be an improvement.

I can't stand the smell of diesel.

Wheelbase will always be a big factor, which is why I'm sure the 7 series, although a sport, was still comfortable.

                      • Good lord. Just looked at S8 pricing. Yeah, just slightly out of my range. Holy shit. I had no idea those things were so high priced.

It's not a diesel, but for 1000 there is no beating my C220. The interior is like new and I get an easy 30mpg.

That would be as rough as his 4runner was.

Seriously Eric, I think a full size caddy or something along those lines is going to be best for your back and budget.

                            • I believe though the 7 series long wheel base is the iL, you can get a standard wheel base 740i.
