Cheap modern luxobarge/wagon options

Honestly, I would ditch the car idea and go with a truck/SUV. Lincoln Navigator and Chevy Avalanche are both extremely nice options. A late 90's crown victoria is also extremely comfortable.

I also can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I have a damned 00 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan that is really nice and crammed with features.

Look here, shitheads. I'm not going to pull a DammitSteve and drive a fucking minivan. I'm a single guy goddamn it, I've got enough socialization issues on my own without driving a chick repellent. Or even worse, a Momma with 3 kids from different daddies looking for a new enabler with transport for her trophies and snail trail magnet.

Every year or two, I find myself fiending for a Marauder. I LOVED working on them when they came in, everything was very accessible and, with the crossover to crown vics and Town Cars, you could do some cool mods and find tons of cheap replacement parts... it didn't hurt that one of our customers had a maroon one with a ProCharger and a built trans that looked stock as can be. That was a cool car.

You don't have to modify it. If things break or die replacement bits are easy to come by. Certain stuff is swappable because Ford/Lincoln/Mercury used the same wiring harness throughout the line.

Just poking fun Eric, though looking back, I grew up in an Aerostar, and am glad that my step-dad didn't have the same aversion. It was a lot easier to maneuver in and out of.

Not the same one, but e39 tourings are easy to find. This one just needs mpars.

And, regardless of age and price, they are damn good vehicles when preventative maintenance is done.
