I figure at some point in the next 6 months I'm going to drop the 5.0 and find a new DD. Wanting to spend under 5k, but be as new as possible. Honestly I would prefer a wagon, but the options are pretty sparse(seemingly). So far I'm(as I've always been)enamored of the 02ish era BMW 5 series wagons. I need a really smooth ride, something that I can drive for a couple of hours and not feel like a punching bag upon exiting the vehicle(if you haven't been paying attention, I've got some severe back/neck issues).
Something new enough to not require aftermarket iPod hook up, alarm, keyless entry, is a plus, with Navigation being a HUGE plus. I'm even thinking about getting an old 2001 7 Series again. I've looked at Caddys, but the first gen CTS has never had the right proportions IMO, and I can't throw down the money on a V. Give me some ideas, and cars to stay far away from are welcome as well. Mercedes? Jags? Lincoln? I've never paid much attention to this market, so I'm sure there are quite a few cars that aren't on my radar.
The under 5k is not set in stone. For the right car I might go as high as 10, but if I could get something cheaper it would be a huge plus. Thanks gents.
Edit: I would REALLY like something that has some balls, too, so the higher the horsepower, the better.
