At what point in time culturally did we move beyond being able to disagree respectfully and leave it at that to disagreeing, denigrating and name calling? This goes for everyone, I'm the most guilty.
I ask because this has just recently started to stand out to me. It seems that this isn't something that serves to elevate us, rather, it gives me the perception of pettiness.
Often times, the disagreement won't even get stated, the commenter or author just moves straight to the petty name calling and such.
