Lone Star Gran Prix-Shifter Kart Street Race

Haven't posted in a while here but thought that I'd pass this along as an excuse to go to watch some racing you don't see every weekend.

The Lone Star Gran Prix will be held in Lockhart at the end of the month. The city and the organizers block off the streets surrounding the county court house and let the Karts go at it. There is going to be world class drivers, world class BBQ, Cold beer and the kicker of being Spring time in Central Texas. Any if you get bored Austin is just a few minutes away.....Truth be told Lockhart is one of those great places to take it down a notch. Not to take away from your post, but the Forza Ferrari Day at COTA is the same weekend (spectators get in free). Definitely worth the drive down to catch either/and/or.
