  • Had my first attempted theft.

Had an attempted break in at my car lot. I have two gates that mesh together, it's a slotted piece of metal with a loop in it for a lock. The chuckleheads hacksawed their way through the loop and bent the metal to get the lock off, but with the metal piece bent, they couldn't get the gates to un-mesh.

They then put the lock BACK on the now mangled loop and left..... I don't know what their plan was, all of my cars have transponder keys.

Time to add dual locks and a bit of rebar.

If they are determined they will get in. Thieves are lazy though, maybe they find someone else when they realize your shit is to hard.

Wrapped a bit assed chain around it and a second lock.

You should dress up like a third row seat and take them out! Shit has hit the fan at the car lot!

                    This.

We had a rash of wheels stolen here and even had a tire shop broke into and I'm not that far away. A lot of it in the last few days. Mostly Texas edition trucks that got hot though.

It's a pipe fence. If they want that, they can just step over. They were clearly out to take the whole car and clearly not pros.

The thought crossed my mind, but then the thought of a lawsuit made me scrap it. Public business + zappy fence = no more car lot. Just going to reinforce, get some better lighting and a security cam.

Put some razor wire in that fence as well. If they make it to your side and get cut from the fence fuck em.
