Got a question about committing to a turn at a light

    I used to think the same thing, but my mom got a ticket for having some portion of her car in the intersection when the light turned red. The cop admitted the light was yellow when she entered the intersection.

    Maybe one of the board cops will set it straight!

      i sat as a juror on a case for this exact thing. law is you may not enter the intersection unless you are clear to exit the intersection at the same time. so pulling forward on green and waiting for an opening or the red is actually illegal. well i guess actually blocking the intersection by sitting there or turning once it is red is actually the illegal part.

        That was my understanding as well, and I see it leaving work everyday. Those fuckers piss me off too, when they keep me from moving through the instersections because they are stacked 3-4 deep in the middle of the intersection.

              Dont forget you have full duty to yield to oncoming traffic, even if the troll of a mom is running late to get the kids to school and blows through a red light running in the outside of 4 lanes (behind some larger vehicles)
