  • Summer camps for kids

I figured I better start looking into this now and this seemed a decent place to ask. My wife wants to start checking into various summer camps around the area...was wondering if anyone here had some recommendations for elementary aged kids. My wife would prefer something in the Arlington area since it's on her way to work and would be more convenient. We were looking into Camp Thurman but our only problem there is the hours are like 9-2, which sucks since we both work.

Camp Thurman is great. You could always find a daycare that can pick them up and drop them off.

You might check into daycares for their day camps. My son goes to the daycare in the summer my 3 year old goes to. For the school aged kids they do a summer camp and are never there. They go to water parks, movies, museums and all that other stuff. He loved it last year and he can be there from 8-5 so we don't have to worry about picking him up early. Its also the same price per week as a day camp. Just an option.
