  • Anyone been to Atlantis/bahamas

We are looking at this as a possible honeymoon destination but the reviews aren't great. Checking to see if anyone here has any experience with going there

A coworker went a few months ago. Spent 15 or so days and a TON of money.

He said he enjoyed the island and there is plenty to do and places to eat.

The hotel he stayed at was their most expensive one and he liked it....he better have for what he spent.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

My coworker went and said Atlantis was family based, so may not be a great honeymoon spot, too many kids everywhere for him.

My kid loved it, nice place but would look elsewhere for honeymoon destination. I would go more adult focused for the resort.

Just go to Maui, rent a car and explore the island.

As stated, I looked into it and it was insanely priced and very gimmicky. Way better things out there for a honeymoon.

Just ran through some option, for 7 nights, family of 5 (because it forces us to opt for a suite), I'm looking at a new Ford Focus (economical), maybe a base Fusion, or a new F-150 platinum 4x4 with all options for the baller suite.

If I eat, it takes the cost up a new entertainment system.

                Too expensive, lots of kids....

On a budget? Rincon, Puerto Rico...

                Got more cash?
Rent a house at Waimanalo Beach on Oahu.
Beach is awesome, hardly any crowds or tourists, and about 30 minutes from Waikiki\Pearl Harbor if you want to play the tourist for a day.

Other than that, stock up some beer and hotdogs\burgers at the one store in town and play beach bum for a week.

Like others have said, the price is high and the value is low. BMCSean's suggestion is a great one.

                              Not sure if serious.
