Anyone know of a place to get some cash for used clothes, or maybe a place to get credit to buy more used clothes? I've got 10+ bags of old shit that doesn't fit me anymore, I'd like to maybe get some stuff that does fit me.

Plato's Closet buys and sells gently used name brand clothes, shoes and accessories, so you can recycle the items you no longer wear and get paid on the spot. We aren't a typical thrift store! We buy used name brand clothing styles for all seasons, all day, every day, with no appointment necessary. Each Plato's Closet location is individually owned and operated by local business owners, so you can feel good about shopping small and getting in style second hand clothes for less!

Sidebar: I won't take shit to goodwill or Salvation Army. Goodwill is screwing over slow people and Salvation Army is an organization that's stuck in the dark ages, as far as the treatment of those who don't follow a biblical outlook on things are concerned.

It's a bit of a drive and worth it if you are giving a LOT of stuff, but I donate to the Genesis Women's Shelter. They sell in their thrift shop and all of the money is used to support the women's shelter.
Goodwill gives you the signed paper and writes the generic number of items. I spoke with my CPA last year and it was stated that you can itemize donations, but it's way too much of a headache in that you have to have receipts for all items donated as well as fair market value by other sales, or the like. Something like that.
I said fuck it, give me the max of $500 write off and that's the most you can do.

Another good cause is Mission Arlington in Arlington Texas. Yes it's affilated with a church - but they don't care where you come from and they will take all you give them. They will find a good home for it. If you have good descent furniture/electronics/appliances they will come and pick those up free of charge and find a good home for them.

I'm sure Baron will be sending a PM to take them off your hands, don't get creeped out if he asks for your old underwear too....Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
