I get that too, and understand that there are lines that once crossed, are hard to move on from.

Not as an adult. Should have done it more often as a kid but I am 6 years older.

what's the problem? I have an uncle and a cousin that are both fully aware that if we are ever in the same place at the same time, I will be serving up an ass whipping. Been several years since they both threw a fit and the other family members told them they have it coming. Havent seen or heard from either since.

I haven't seen him in person in a couple of years. It's been pretty quiet up until his idiotic texts last night.

So there will be no fighting unless they show right?

I think I follow, so if they show up, you're going to beat both of them up. Now will you be fighting them individually or at the same time?

likely it would be individually, since I think the rest of the family would rather step in and let it happen one at a time. They got drunk and made a stink at my grandfather's funeral, so it pissed off a whole lot of people at once. This side of my family are mostly country farming folk from a small town, so they handle things a bit differently that the rest of the world.

Hmmm, so you're brother and uncle were at your GF's funeral and got drunk and made a scene. So it's your GF's brother and grandson, most people sometimes use alcohol as a way to handle a death from someone close and grieve this way. You know, pouring out one for a fallen relative and such. Maybe they regret it but they are not given the chance and you want to cause bodily harm.

Well if they weren't drunks that do nothing but get drunk and bitch about how nobody wants to give them a job and how shitty their life is while mooching off anyone they can, it might be different. Or maybe if they werent complaining that they didnt do anything wrong and being corrected constantly by the rest of the family.

my Mom's brother, and my mom's cousin, technically. Both POS' drunks. Sadly, one of them sued the state and got a million dollar settlement a few years back, so he has a whole new set of issues now.

Well I suggest you approach them individually while they are sober and try to talk some sense to them as opposed to "beating them up" at the next funeral, cookout or SB party, but hey that's just my suggestion. Kicking someone's ass isn't always the answer...
