  • Where to buy used shelving

I need to get some shelving, wire racks, bakers racks, etc. Does anyone know of a good source to buy this stuff locally used? May even get a pallet rack if the situation is right.

You can scour CL, used Restaurant Equipment Dealers, or try an Auction house like Travis Mitchell. On CL, search for "Metro shelving" or "wire shelving".

I rep the industry leader, as well as an import line. but it's all new.

      Good deal, I tried CL with not much luck. Lowes seems to have a great price on a 74-in H x 48-in W x 18-in D 5-Tier Steel Freestanding Shelving Unit, $75.

For used, try Manske Material Handling.

For new, this is darn cheap. I've seen it as low as $38.75 with free shipping.

Costcos for sure. Way better 5000lb limit shelf similar to the home depot link. Way better quality $60. They also have another ridiculous steel for $144 but it's much longer.

Are you getting a commission? How do you know it's "way better"?

Only luck I've ever had with used shelving was word of mouth. Everything I've ever found on CL was marked way up

I have 4 of these at my shop and have no trouble with them, we have crank shafts and heads on them and no problems.
