An insurance thread without any mention of mutherjuggs. How things have changed....

LOL! Indeed it has R, indeed it has. However, my phone hasn't stopped ringing for policies from members here, regardless of interweb mentions.

Since I've gone Independent, it is a LOT harder to explain from one person to the next in a carclub thread, why they're with different companies, etc. They start comparing notes on "apples vs. oranges" for lack of better description, and with the way it is now, things stay a lot more business professional. I don't get all those damn "hook me up...c'mon bend the law for ME because I is special!" calls anymore either. Which, honestly, is quite refreshing.

20 Years with All State and switched to Safeco. Saved couple hundred on car, could have saved $140.00 on home owners. But chose to up the coverage and still paining about $40.00 less and all my guns are covered. All State did not cover the guns.

I'm no insurance mathmegician, but what type of policy do you have on your house valued at $200,000 for $481 per year? Maybe if there was not mortgage on it.

My guess, a fire only policy. Which covers pretty much how it sounds, fire only; no coverage for wind/hail, no personal property, no extended coverage whatsoever. I wouldn't even offer a customer a policy as such, as a matter of fact Allstate doesn't even have a plan we can write to cover so basic for the same reason to not under-insure a customer. We have the ability to broker through other carriers if the need arises, but even then I try avoid that at all cost, opens up too much liability for an errors & omission claim.
