I've never heard of the #6 thing, is that Texas? Of course, I took drivers ed in WA over 20 years ago, so it's very possible. Just not one I had ever heard.

#3 - Are you referring to on ramps to merge onto a highway? If so, It's always been my understanding that the driver merging onto the highway, has to adjust THEIR speed to the drivers already in control of their lane. I'll be damned if I slow my ass down to below the posted speed limit just because some douche can't reach highway speeds prior to getting on the highway.

(3).. no. when you are Exiting from the freeway. and there is a sign that says " yield to ramp" .. meaning you YIELD do those exiting from the left..

                (6) you are correct.. but the left has right of way.. not saying that if i signal i can just come over.. but if you are in the right lane and decide to change at the same time.. i have right of way.

Technically there doesn't have to be a 'yield to ramp' sign.

                  Yielding on frontage roads

§545.154 - VEHICLE ENTERING OR LEAVING LIMITED-ACCESS OR CONTROLLED-ACCESS HIGHWAY

An operator on an access or feeder road of a limited-access or controlled-access highway shall yield the right-of-way to a vehicle entering or about to enter the access or feeder road from the highway or leaving or about to leave the access or feeder road to enter the highway.

This law is quite simple: if you're on the frontage road (a.k.a. access road, feeder road, service road, or gateway) of a freeway or expressway, then you must yield to traffic exiting or entering the freeway or expressway. This law covers all entrance and exit ramps, even if there are no yield signs. Even if the traffic leaving the freeway merges into a separate lane, you are still technically required to yield. After all, they may want to quickly move over to the right lane to turn. Note, though, that yielding does not necessarily mean stopping (see below.)

When I want to rage, I just remember I live in a metroplex of 6 million souls. I have yet to see the same person twice that has cut me off, or been an otherwise douche on the road.

I was in my F100, I went to get over, guy started to speed up, I dropped the gas and got in front of him. A few miles down the road I decide to turn into the fast lane, check my mirrors, nothing, I go to merge over and that crazy son of a bitch is trying to blow by me going 120mph, almost took both of us out. My f100 had business card sized mirrors, didn't even see him. He proceeded to follow me down cooper st in downtown Arlington swerving at me, cussing at me, and threatening to pull his gun on me. So yeah, I've had an experience like that before. Who knows how fast she was going.

Funny you say that, I try to be on my best behavior when heading downtown for a meeting, I would hate to cut-off my next potential client.

Granted, Sacramento is a bit smaller than DFW, but the world in general is an incredibly small place, and you never know who you may come across.

You misread that. After mistakenly cutting the woman off, she began brake checking him. He tried to change lanes to stop the behavior, and when he looked in his rearview he almost rear ended her because she had brake checked him again.

I had an incident with some crazy bitch when I was headed home from work one day...entrance ramp onto 114w in Las Colinas. This ramp pretty much just dumps directly into the rt lane on 114, and often the hwy is backed up that time of day. Everyone (read: normal people) usually blend every other car coming in. However on this day I am doing the usual dance but this fat bitch in a Miata not only races up to somehow apparently block me from coming in, but she also completely lays on her horn....not just like a honk to let me know she's there, this bitch jumps on the horn solid as-if she's in midtown Manhattan rush hour. Of course at this point the front of my truck is already ahead of her, and as usual I ain't stopping....so if she's coming in her little shitbox, she's getting pushed.

We get about 100 yards up the road, and she has continued to rage behind me (her top is down so I can totally see her in the mirror)....flipping me off, making gestures, etc, etc. She finally worms her way into the next lane over to the left and manages to get beside me...all the while continuing to act like a total moron. However we are in total stop & go (5pm) traffic, so she got what she wanted, but also is sort of stuck next to me. I rolled my window down and at first just said, "damn lady, is it really worth all of that? Are you really in so much of a hurry that me getting this one truck in front of you in stop & go traffic is going to change the course of your day??!! Seriously??!! She just looks at me with this awful stink-eye, and flips me off.

I rolled the window back up and was just going to ignore her, but then it started to boil on me ....so within another minute or 2 she is back next to me but not saying or doing anything....I roll my window back down and let her have it...."I think I get it now, you are obviously one of those ugly bitches that can't get a date, let alone a man to even look your way...so you are angry at the entire fucking world due to your own internal anxiety....here's a tip, quit blaming it on everyone else, like random people who happen to get in your lane, take some pride in your own life, get a makeover or whatever might help that chisel-face, and for gods-sake...stay the fuck away from McDonalds for a while!!!"

The whole time she doesn't say a thing and is staring at me with some seriously evil eyes....traffic moves to where I'm a car or 2 behind her, but still just one lane over. Within another minute or 2 we are next to one-another again, and I said - "...and one more thing, I have a question for you....why is it that all of you ugly fat bitches drive those little tiny convertible cars??....do you think that it somehow makes you look cute?? Well, it doesn't!! It makes you look like an even fatter hog than you already are....you aren't cute and you aren't a teenager, so quit trying to be something you aren't!!

Now her look of evil is changing to that of disbelief....and as traffic moves some more, she worms her way over another lane, which is moving a little faster and gets her a bit ahead. A ways up I see her putting her top up...and I finally got close enough a mile or 2 up the road to see her face again....and she is crying!!!

Justice served! I still laugh about it sometimes....but also feel a little bad about it.....but not bad enough to not laugh!!

I would feel bad too, if I were you.. Not "really" bad, mind you.

Hopefully she at least learned her lesson.
