Neighbor that lives behind me has been working on a 6cyl manual blue 65' Mustang coupe for several months on and off and he had it cranked up and running a few minutes ago so I went over to check it out. Its not a showcar...its a driver....decent paintwork covers a LOT of bondo underneath but its not bad looking. Black vinyl interior is new and looks good. Engine needs rings so it smokes a bit but runs good. He bought this car to give his 16 y/o son who lives with a stepdad and mom. Neighbor tells me his son doesn't want it because its old and ugly. In fact....he told me that the stepdad says he won't let the kid keep it in his driveway IF he brings it home. WHAT THE FUCK!!!! I would have killed to be offered a car like this when I was 16. I told him to sell it and buy the kid a worn out Civic, Escort, or something similar and pocket the rest. Fucking ungrateful snob kids today just piss me off.

I had friends like that in highschool, mostly girls though. It really is terrible that even an ugly GIFT isnt appreciated.
I would pick up chicks that I took out in my old busted shit, even if I had something nicer to drive, just to see it they were worth taking out again.
Oh, and id roll the FUCk out of that. OP, if he really wants to get rid of it, let me know. I have a friend that is looking for a driver quality 6er."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I'd sell the car, buy the kid a scale model of a brand new Mustang and tell him, "enjoy your new car you ungrateful son of a bitch"
Then buy himself something rad with the money

Man, if my kids ever turn down the first car that I will GIVE them... I will keep it for myself and instruct them on how to go about getting a bus pass to the job they are now required to get in order to effing EAT and pay me rent.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

That kid needs an attitudes adjustment. I'm grateful for every thing I have. Do I want bigger, cooler, faster stuff? Yeah. But I'm happy with what I've got.
