Exactly, the people driving your kids on a school bus don't have to have one, but I have guys who are at risk of not being able to drive a bucket truck because they have high blood pressure.

Finding a lineman with a CDL that is actually a decent employee is by far the most difficult part of being an oilfield electrical contractor. Well that and finding someone who can actually repair a diesel truck in a reasonable amount of time..

I didnt have insurance when I was unemployed, still had a primary care physician. I didnt visit much but they had unemployed rates they used and some of it was cheaper than when I had insurance

yep, and if you use meds to keep it under control they will only give you a 1 year card instead of 2

Dr told me to quit the decongestants I'm on and to come back in the morning. It wasn't off by much.

Can I fill this out and check one of the boxes, and keep my CDL without a medical card? It's somewhat confusing....

If you only drive for a government entity yes, but it puts a restriction on your license so that you are not supposed to drive OTR.

I don't drive for anyone, but I'd like to keep my CDL as a backup in case I ever need it, and at that point I'll go get a medical card. I hope to never need it, but I don't want to deal with getting a DOT physical every 2 years if I can help it.
