That's terrible. That's why I keep all important documents in a safety deposit box.

Without my gun hobby. I would cut off my own dick and let the rats eat it...

Sorry to hear about your loss but glad to know that everyone is safe and uninjured. I know the feeling because I had a house fire a few years back. As everyone has said document everything,if you don't have or know exactly what was destroyed use photos you have or even get photos from family and friend to prove there existence. Another thing you need to do is check to see if you had a rider for the project car and car related parts in the garage. As I found out most insurance companies will not pay for cars, recreational vehicles(golf carts,Motorcycles,RACE CARS!) or vehicle related parts due to being able to add them as riders. So Guys Check your policies don't learn the hard way like I did.

Man that sucks....so very sorry. Thanks for the tips on it too....we actually use our fireplaces quite a bit, I'll be damned sure to have them checked out now.

Our house burned down when I was young, I know all about the smoke smelling "toys."

I'm glad to hear that you're insured, that'll help some, but it's still a pretty traumatic experience having your entire world uncontrollably destroyed.
