How much better would you view them if when you brought it in they said "Oh yes sir. We'll have that fixed immediately and are sorry about that. Can we get you a Coke while you wait?"
I'd say I don't drink coke without rum sir! lol
But for real, if they take care of me it will be remembered as a small oversight by a dealer that gave me good service until they messed up at which time they gave me great service. I will consider them first for any future purchases, because I'll know that they care about their reputation enough to keep customers happy.

if not fuck those mother fuckers, I'z gotz a shit ton of vacation time and I’ll go old school and sit in front of the dealer for a few weeks with a sign. "Blankety blank car dealer sold me an illegal car!!!"

said they will have it resolved today.
Good luck, customer service should be the top priority here.

On another note regarding a battery again, I had my wife's Fusion taken to the stealership last week for the same problem as the MKZ a few years back. They called me and told me that it would be $260.00 for a new battery and labor. I had to remind him that the car was under warranty and that they just did the same thing to my '12 GT a few months ago and it was covered by the warranty. They called me later and said the car was ready and no charge???

Where the fuck is Ford getting their batteries from, China?

I think I've had just one issue with Paris Ford and that was that they ordered the wrong auto start for my truck. They ordered a more expensive one and when I showed them the email for what they quoted me, they gave me the more expensive one for the cheaper price, apologized and washed the truck as well.

It also helps that every time I go in for an oil change I put a 12 pack of Coke in the back seat for the techs to enjoy

Customer service is a thing of the past it seems. I think the MO these days is to deny warranty first, just to see if the customer bites. If they don't, no big deal. If they do, thats one less waranty claim they have to make.

Come to think of it, if the customer does bite, and pays the bill, is it possible for them to file the warranty anyway, and "double dip"?

            This x100%

If they do make good on the deal, please, if you don’t mind let us all know of this dealership (Name) that is willing to go out of their way (not too far) for customer service.

I had been satisfied with GPV, even after a little initial run around...until the battery incident. I have been looking at trucks and the wife’s car will be paid off in a couple of months.

I doubt the double dip would be the case, but they make more money on customer pay than warranty, like twice the amount in some cases, so it wouldnt surprise me if they tried to get that first and then go back to warranty. Some customers will just pay whatever bill gets handed to them, and they authorized whatever was suggested.

They are probably picking them up from your friendly neighborhood parts house. O'Reilly carries Motorcraft batteries.

Does the "roll the windows down and pull the fuse" method not work any more?

I've been buying my cars new for over 20 yrs., I usually get around 3 yrs. out of the factory motorcraft batteries, but here lately they have only been good for 2yrs or so.
Not sure what the hell is going on, I was thinking that the placement of the battery location the 05-14 mustangs* was the problem, but the MKZ & Fusion have the batteries in the front area location so not sure about those.

We have the same problem with AC Delco in our GM work trucks it is almost guaranteed to lose a battery at 2 years. Used to Motorcraft made good batteries, I traded my 03 F150 in 2010 and it still had the factory battery.

I tried once, they replaced the fuse and tried to charge me for it. LOL!

Paul, i bet the doors being off would work.

Seems logical to buy a new car every 2 years then. BAM, no more battery problems.

                              Hmmmm, very interesting thought process.

That's mostly an urban legend. If they can't test the window tint, they aren't supposed to pass it. I'm sure it works at some places, but most people just regurgitate that story and have never actually tried it.
