You run those under your sink? And how often do you got to have to change the filters? I have never been able to take the taste of tap water

You can. Its not going to come rushing out like tap water though. You turn your water on full blast or plumb it its own line and let it rip. I can make 5 gallons in a couple of hours. Most people let the units fill a reservoir that has a switch that tells it to quit making water at a certain point. I use them for a completely different purpose though. Reef aquariums need the most perfect water to run good so when I mix my own water I start with the purest water I can get which is this. Its cheaper and way more convenient over the long run. I do drink and cook with the water though. There are a couple of other variables involved like water pressure etc... The units will actually become inefficient with lower water pressure. You may need a boost pump if this is your case. I have like 80psi here so its all good. Under 40 and your no good. Also you will need a TDS meter (total dissolved solids) which basically measures how much shit is in your water. Decent tap water will have under 200 ppm (parts per million) I have seen peoples water as high as 800ppm (nasty). I could talk all day about this but I dont want to put anyone to sleep.

Good reading for all that want to be informed.... RO water is great it is the DI resin that really cleans it to perfection.

Yep, my dad's got one for work, if I need water I'll take a 750lb ballast bag and fill it from the lake, then use his system (assuming there's electricity or at least gas for the generator).

Well water FTW. I've never had better water than what's at the house.

I had to get a reverse osmosis system because the water coming out of my well isn't up to snuff. It tastes great now.

Same here. Everyone LOVES our well water straight out of the ground.

Yep love mine, Think it makes about 75 gallons/day, 6 stage. I remember reading where its possible to push sea water thru it, but i'd think it would stop the membrane up pretty quick. My system has a backflush feature which i do once a month.
