That's awful nice of you two. I'm sad to see it is his first car. RIP mustang. :-( j/k I would be afraid to give my kid a nice car as their first one.

Props to y'all. Looking forward to the pics.
I had to buy my first car, bustin' my hump doing odd jobs, mowin', etc. My parents surprised me at my 16th with "we'll match whatever you saved". I ended up buying a low mile Chevette that a grandma used once a week to get groceries. Glad fate had that in mind with me 'cause I ragged that thing out. If I'd had a power car, like this Mustang, I'd probably have wrapped it around a tree. On the plus side, that car taught me all kinds of car handling skills."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

Good for you guys, that's cool.
Just a thought on the comments about a powerful car - I get it, I completely do. It's important to note that many modern 4-bangers or v6s are equally, if not more, capable. I raced my TL-S against my stock 1992 5.0L and it was ugly - really ugly.Last edited by slow99; 01-11-2014, 11:21 PM.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I hope he isn't into street racing. He is going to see a lot of tail lights from family sedans. None the less it's a pretty nice car to have as a first car.
