When I worked at a local Ford house, a local wealthy man custom ordered an expedition 4x4. When it showed up the make ready kid took it for a test drive to make sure all was well. By is account, “He took a turn at the posted speed limit of 30mph when it suddenly lost control and rolled five times.” He was fired, and the customer was contacted.
His response was frustration at first, but when he calmed down he decided it was better off. He had been thinking he’d rather have a truck anyway. So, he custom ordered a 5speed F-150. When this one showed up from Ford the salesman insisted that no one drive the truck but him. The truck was made ready and needed to be washed before delivery, the salesman walked through the wash bay got in the truck; started it up, put it in gear, and then his soapy shoe slipped off the clutch and the truck lurched into a concrete pole!
The customer now drives a chevy!
