He was being a smartass, and you fell for it. The Fords you love use just as many foreign manufactured parts.

I doubt they're even telling people to, in most cases, or that the targets even know.

Stupid phone with no GPS ftw. The will play hell figuring out my exact speed from a signal triangulation.

Your phone moving at 85mph doesnt mean that you were doing anything wrong.

GM invented vehicle tracking. They've been letting law enforcement track their Onstar equipped customers since 1996, they can even listen to and record conversations in the car without anyone knowing it's on.

Yeah, because cell tower triangulation doesn't work?

For years I've wondered when they would be implementing electronic speed limiters based on the speed limit. All that's needed are little beacon's attached to each mile marker that blast our the speed limit. The GPS in your car reads it, and won't let the speedo go any faster.

It didn't see all that plausible until now.

OBD3 is likely to have a real time connection to the manufacturer, or at the bare minimum it'll have OTA programming capabilities. You'll have a notice popup on the dash before it connects but you won't really have a choice if you want to keep driving.

I would think that would cause more accidents and traffic trouble than there is currently.
