Maybe the steel part has something to do with it?

Yea, but 400+ pounds of it.

I don't know how tall his is, but the one I have is 2x2x7 foot tall, so it is kinda top heavy. I am worried about it toppling over when I move it. We called the safe movers that had moved it several years ago. They said it was the heaviest one they had moved and they didn't want to mess with it again.

2 little guys brought my 800 lb safe in the house with nothing more than 2 furniture dollies and a piece of 4x4 that they used under it to help get it on the dollies.

What has already been stated. 2 furniture dollies and 2 people (myself and my brother) is what it took to get my 500lbs safe in the house and into the closet.

Be extra careful. If that thing tips over on you, it won't be pretty. I've had one sitting in the middle of my garage for about a year because I can't even budge it.
                  1. He's an infantryman, pretty sure he'd take it as I meant it.
                  2. He's friends with my brother which makes him an idiot by proxy.
                  3. My brother and he decided a good way to heat my brother's trailer (my travel trailer) was to canabalize a propane grill and take the base with the burners, turn it up so that it's standing straight up and use it for heat.

As a former locksmith who moved several safes around, we used 1" galv pipe
Had several of them. One after the other roll it across them moving the last to the front and repeat until safe is in position. Hardest part would be tilting it back enough to get a couple under it to get started.
Going across grass- plywood sheets down for pipe to roll across. Only 2 sheets needed.
I did this back after high school for several years and I'm not/wasn't a big guy.
                              Hope that helps some.
(Buy pre-cut lengths of pipe & save receipt so you can return them when you're done)
