Clearly you missed this part of my post:

"Is it worth it? Ehhh, not so sure, but for the guy who wants the most capable Camaro ever made that looks pretty good (especially in the front), why not?"

They will sell them to die hard Camaro fans with money (i.e. those that already own older '69 Camaros that are going up in value, etc.) and also some hard core track rats that just love the idea of a $75k track ready Camaro with full warranty.

A 2SS with the 1LE package and no additional options is $41k.

Now I will agree that that the new z/28's msrp is about $10K higher than I expected. But it is certaintly not a $45k car.

I guess for 75k i would get a Zr1... there is nothing that you could do to a camaro that would make it trump a Zr1 IMO..

that being said.. for 75k it better come with a life time supply of blow jobs from some Hot Trailer park bitches...

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I agree 100% with this. For a track rat, track day fun car, the 1LE is the absolutely best value way to go hands down in the Camaro category.

Only if you are loaded or just love the nostalgic history of the Z/28 and have a hard on for CC brakes, LS7, awesome suspension, etc. will it make sense to get the Z/28. I still think GM will find plenty of buyers who want the "ultimate" Camaro. There are a bunch of retiree's with a lot of money who want a new Z/28 and will pay some big money for it. This is their car.

For everyone else, a 1LE, used Vette, new Vette, Fox with $50k, etc. will be the way to go.

I didn't read the thread but I just can't see taking this car over a cheaper corvette.
