I would do some comparison shopping because there are no all inclusive resorts in St. Croix and that can add up with a quickness.

Flights to St Lucia are usually only about $100 more round trip PP than St. Croix.
We stayed at the Sandals Grande Antigua when we got married. If you can go in middle-late August their rates drop plus weddings are included in some packages. It was our first Caribbean vacation and all-inclusive was definitely the way to go. If we were to do it over again, I'd hit up an island w/ several Sandals properties since they'll shuttle you around to them and they are included in your stay.

Our trip last year was to Turks & Caicos...OMFG. If you can afford to get married there, DO IT! Check out Villa Del Mar and feel free to PM me if you want more info or pics.

St. Lucia has three Sandals resorts that you can hop between which made it nice for dinners.

How was Antigua? We were about 5 minutes away from pulling the trigger on that for a quick summer getaway, but opted for Cabo this time.

We did Beaches in Turks a year ago and it was top notch. I want to go back and maybe stay at Grace Bay.

I wanted to do Beaches in Turks, but they gave us a deal on Beaches in Jamaica for less than 1/2 price. I was OK with it, but I guess things happen for a reason because I've just been forwarded a job out there and hopefully land an interview while I'm on the island.

Antigua was good, but I wish we'd done some exploring. We pretty much stayed at Sandals except when we went to do the zipline (which was badass - through/over the rainforest). If we go back, we will at least do some exploring or maybe get a car. We realized we missed a lot of good beaches, etc by staying at Sandals, although the stay was a ton of fun.

My recommendation for anyone who goes to Provo (Turks & Caicos) is to RENT A CAR. You can get a little rollerskate w/ a 2.5 cylinder moped motor for about $30/day. There is so much you miss out on if you don't explore Providenciales. The restaurants are expensive for the most part, but part of the experience. We also went to the local IGA grocery store and stocked up on some snacks and stuff to save a little $$.

1st day, pic from beach looking south-ish towards the point on Grace Bay Beach

View from our room at Villa Del Mar, looking towards the path to the beach (yellow) thru the Grace Bay Club

The pics don't do the water any justice... I've NEVER seen water that clear, including Antigua and Hawaii. There is a reef all along Grace Bay that keeps the waves down. Most of the day the waves don't break 8 inches, except when a boat goes by. The reef also makes a barrier against the colder deep ocean water, so the water is REALLY nice all the time.

More water at the Beaches in Turks

And some pictures of the Sandals Grande St. Lucia and some random picture of Melissa Rycroft to add some integrity to the thread. 2nd picture was from the private helicopter transfer from the airport that lands about 5 minutes from the resort.

Sorry, I should've left it alone...just trying to mark where the path is that takes you to the beach. Here are a couple of better shots:

I have been to Jamaica 8 times, Grand Cayman, Aruba, Belize, Cozumel and Cancun..St. Croix appears to be as beautiful..just wondering if anyone else has been there.

We haven't been to St. Croix, but we vacationed in St. Thomas last year, and we're booked again for June. We stay at www.bolongobay.com, an amazing family owned resort, in a private cove, with a significant stretch of private beach. Damn near every room is ocean view.

Last year, we booked an ocean view room on the 3rd floor with magnificent views, this year, we upgraded to beach front with direct access from our patio. This year, we booked the hotel directly through the owner, so we managed to get an outstanding deal on a 7-night all-inclusive, and found a flight from DFW-STT on Spirit Airlines for $119/pp each way.

I love St. Thomas, and fully intend to go back every year until I can retire there. Their wedding packages are great, and they handle everything, plus give you details on obtaining a VI wedding license. We walked by quite a few beach weddings last year, and their set-up is very elegant.

Robert can give you more details if you need them.

P.S. I know how you fuckers are, so before you ask...here are the terts.

I haven't been to St. Croix in about 9 years but I was not impressed the last time I went. It kind of reminded me of key west but without the nice areas that key west has. I did take a cruise there so i'm sure there were nicer parts of the island that I didn't see but it's a pretty small island and I can't imagine we missed that much of it.

My wife and I got married at The Grand Old House in Grand Caymen. We took a cruise out of New Orleans and got off in Grand Caymen, got married, and got back on the cruise ship. It was an amazing day and it was about $1000 for the actual wedding including the minister, reserve the space, mariage certificates (it has the queen of englands seal on it), champaigne and and a small cake.
