        I watched two kids race down the side of the road today on 4 wheelers with rifles on the front of them. Good times.

          Yup, my commutes blow - but I think it helps my kids and family overall having a slightly bigger yard and growing up where you don't go to jail for having a kid fight.

            Yep. Love my little out-of-town 'hood as well. I've been taking the boys out in the back yard to shoot their new Daisy Red Rider BB guns nary one 911 phone call being made from neighbors.

              We had BB Gun wars and dirt clod fights. Didn't want to get hit? Then move your ass when 5lbs of Georgia clay with a grass handle is coming down.

              Now they have "soft tip sky darts"...

                Out here in the sticks, I was responding to a call behind two other marked units. We passed a place where a guy was shooting his AR15 within a hundred feet of the roadway. He waved. We waved. No big deal.

                I cannot imagine that same scenario taking place in the metromess.

                Hard to think 60 miles can make that much difference.
