Fort Worth homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found at a real estate office Monday afternoon.
The Tarrant County medical examiner has released the identity of a womanwho was fatally stabbed inside a real estate office*Monday afternoon.
Suzanne Parsons, 49, of Haslet, was found deceased inside her office at the ReMax location on the 4200 block of Heritage Trace Parkway at about 4:30 p.m Monday. Parsons is listed as a Realtor with the ReMax location at that address.
Police found the woman after being called to the scene on cutting call.
Homicide investigators looking into Parsons' death are staying tight-lipped about the case, but did say a man she likely knew came into the business, attacked her and then left.
Officials haven't revealed any information about who made the 911 call or who the woman's attacker may be."It's sad. It's horrific," said Fort Worth police Cpl. Tracey Knight. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim.
"The real estate office is located in a busy business district and nearby workers were shocked. "We were just trying to figure out what was going on cause it's a really nice neighborhood so we just didn't know what was going on," said Shana Sun. "Patients started telling us what was going on and what happened and someone got stabbed and a person fled but that was all we knew.
"Neighbors who live near the real estate office are upset the police haven't released any information on the woman's attacker and said they want to know who they should be watching for.
"It’s really scary that this man is still at large and cops don’t even know who he is or where he is,” said Angel Smith, who lives near the real estate office. “It’s very disturbing. They need to tell us what’s going on. There are other businesses here, other businesses are running and people have to come over here.
”NBC 5 reached out to Fort Worth police and asked if nearby homeowners should be fearful, like Smith said she is, and we are waiting for a response.
Police haven't said if they believe the woman's killer poses a threat to others.NBC*5's Jeff Smith, Omar Villafranca and Frank Heinz contributed to this report.
