    Yup.

As long a cue is solid, true, weighted, and shaped how you like it; it shouldn't really matter if the core is made of recycled car tires or unobtanium. You're also wasting time on anything less than a 9' table too IMO.

What is this one pocket you speak of?

Agreed on the 9' table. I'm stuck with practicing on the lowly oversized 8' at the house.

However, it's mostly bar boxes around here so there is an advantage.

Supposed to be playing some snooker pretty soon.

I'm not real sure, but I hear there is money getting thrown around on it pretty often.

Cut your teeth on a 9' & you can hold a clinic on a quarter table with a broom handle.

And never take anything but a sneaky Pete to a bar

You got to get a Dragon stick. Only stick you'll ever need. hahahaha

Hell, I have an 8 footer and it's fun as hell. Plus, it's the perfect size for my medium sized game room. Got to have room for some darts and some couches

                Picked this up for $80:

Lucasi L-2004nb, looks like an older model? I figured WTH, I saw the newer model online for $3xx. Dirty with a few dings, the black on the butt is from a rubber cover thing...

Still wanting a sneaky pete though :/

That's a decent stick. My Lucasi cost me about the same.

Sneaky Pete is an easy cue to come across.

However, they also disappear easily because people can think it's just a bar cue that got left out.
I have a few for sale, cell, sail...

McDermott - my daily driver, brute force when I need it, had it for 20+ years (the Mustang of sticks)

Meucci - finesse stick. Light, whippy, great for english.

Hoppe - Grandfather's, father's, then mine. I used it growing up, but it's framed now.

That's about all I play anymore, unless family/friends come over and want to play 8/9-ball. I love the game and I could play it for hours...

Off to play some one pocket now. We'll probably throw a purpleheart shaft together and see how it hits too.
