The mustang batteries i have to swap often, because i dont drive the car that much. Its a cycle though:

I don't drive it often because the battery problems might leave me stranded (they have) and i have battery problems because i don't drive it often.
I keep my Vette and Mustang on a Battery Tender because I hardly drive them and it seems to help a lot. I have a tiny Hawker/Odyssey PCM680 gel battery in my Mustang and they have a reputation for only lasting a year or two but it's still good to go after 5 years. The Optima in my Vette is at least 5 years old too.

Every 6 months or more if im not driving the car I have to trickle charge my optima for up to 3 days but it keeps going and going. Its 7 years old and I really wonder how long it had set on the shelf before I had bought it.

The previous optima could sit for 6 plus months and never need a charge. It lasted forever as well.

I believe my speed3 still has its original battery, but am not 100% sure because I am the second owner. It's a 2008, and it's just now on it's way out.

Went up to my shop today and decided to see if the battery had anything in it and it was dead. Checked the tag and its 8 years old. Cant complain I guess as its pretty darn dependable.

Anyone know where to get any good deals on red tops?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Cant have a battery tender on a car parked outside in an apartment. It would be the best solution if i had a garage, but just not possible right now.

Hopefully soon I will have a house.
