Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher may have finished this weekend's U.S. Grand Prix in 16th place, but he didn't walk away empty handed. It turns out that the German liked Texas so much, he bought a 500-acre ranch there this weekend.

According to this he does a little.

It doesn't say anything about Austin.

I would say that if the Formula 1 org posted it then its legit.

I heard it isn't "critical", but he is legitimately hurt. Hope he makes a full recovery!

idk, from the press conference it seems rather critical. they are unwilling to give a prognosis, only going hour by hour.

pretty hard to guess with brain injuries. continued hemorrhaging and swelling in the brain. he continues to be in an induced coma.

                            Eeehhhhhhhh....

The Formula One racing legend was critically injured Sunday when he hit his head while skiing in France. Doctors are "working hour by hour" to save him, but can't predict what will happen. At his peak a decade ago, Schumacher was among the most famous and highest-paid athletes in the world.

Doctors Unsure Whether Michael Schumacher Will Survive

                            December 30, 2013 7:50 AM

One of the world's most famous and highest-paid athletes, Formula One racer Michael Schumacher, is in a medically induced coma at a hospital in Grenoble, France. Doctors there are treating him for a critical head injury suffered over the weekend when the German driver fell and hit his head while skiing.

                            His prognosis?

"We cannot predict the future for Michael Schumacher," chief anesthesiologist Jean-Francois Payen told reporters Monday, . "He is in a critical state in terms of cerebral resuscitation. ... We are working hour by hour."

I guess I'm wrong. That sounds a lot worse than I originally thought.
