Rat terriers & Pitt bulls were bred in England. Rat terriers usually were used to kill rats on property/barns & Pitts were used in actual pits first in bullbaiting then to fight rats in the pit.

Yes, I have a head full of useless facts & knowledge. Sometimes I even remember what I've read correctly. I'm too lazy to look it back up, so if I'm wrong about the rat terriers - fuck it. I know I'm right about the Pitt bulls though.

Rat Terriers are American, but most of their contributing breeds are English.

I knew I was off a bit, but was too lazy to look it up. Thanks for fixing it, Yale.

If you want a few cats, I have some that can go. They are great hunters, always carrying around some kill. haven't seen a rodent near the house in two years.

Haven't seen any since that night. I'd think I was going crazy but my wife saw them too. I put a live trap right on the other side of my fence yesterday, but nothing cought yet.

Rats have a funny way of not staying outside when it's cold.

                        True story.

They're probably nestled up all cozy in your attic.
