Staff writer Allison Thomas reports:
A man trashed a Northeast Dallas Starbucks front counter Sunday after employees declined to give him free coffee, according to a police report.
Just before 11 p.m., the man walked into the coffee shop in the 6100 block of Greenville Avenue and demanded a free cup of coffee, police said. The employees told the man the store was closed.
The employees told police that the man began shouting, “Give me my coffee!” He then pushed the register and computer monitor on the counter towards one of the employees while continuing to yell, according to the report. Police said he then picked up other items from the front counter display and threw them at the employees.
The employees ran away. The man left after briefly walking behind the counter, a witness told police. The man hasn’t been found, but officers said in the police report that there is surveillance video of the incident.
