They had trouble in Boston it appears.....
BOSTON (CBS) — UPS says shipments that were suppose to arrive by Christmas Eve will not be delivered until after Christmas.
Although drivers worked late Christmas Eve trying to get packages to destinations, those left over will be delayed until at least Thursday morning.
The company blames a larger-than-expected demand on the backup.
The company released a statement Tuesday evening:
“UPS understands the importance of your holiday shipments. All of our drivers are out making deliveries throughout the day and into the evening. The volume of air packages in our system exceeded the capacity of our network as demand was much greater than the forecast, resulting in some shipments being delayed. We expect a vast majority of these packages will be delivered the day after Christmas. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. They would not say how many packages have not been delivered, only that the delays are nationwide.
