I had UPS deliver to me on Sunday yesterday. First time for that.

Certain hubs you can pick up such as at the Arlington hub. If you go online and sign up with MyChoice or call it in you can usually have it held for pickup at the hub. Some packages have sender restrictions on them not allowing them to be picked up in which case you need to contact the sender and have them lift the restriction, it can be a pain.

          Yes, that is correct.

As far as avoiding the USPS handoff, ask the shipper if they are a "sure-post" account. If they are, ask for a premium service (3 day or better) or don't order from that company

My last 1911 shipped 2 day priority and it only took 9 days.

I ordered ammo last Thursday, shipped FedEx and was in Fort Worth Friday scheduled for Saturday delivery. I got it tonight. My 5, 7 and 9yo nephews may have gone without bullets for Christmas.

This doesn't even matter. Found out the hard way. One of my packages was shipped via 2-day on my prime account. UPS site said it was transferred to post office. Post office said they didn't have it. Ended up having to call Amazon and get refund...

this is my fear, having two carriers handling my order. that's twice as many people i'll have to deal with if my package doesnt show.

                          A week.

Lots of whining going on. Do you really think that they want to be behind? The weather caused the problem. No one has patience anymore. Maybe you should have purchased your items earlier, instead of pointing fingers on being late.
