Time to sign the woman up... To bad they dont have partner airlines to South Africa. I have a wedding to go to in 2012
Fly DFW-LHR on miles and pay the difference to South Africa. That's what we're doing in May to get us to Joahannesburg.

Why are you going through London? Last time I went, I flew into JFK. The other option was ATL

Every AA flight we saw to Cape Town or JNB connects through LHR now.

No, there is no charge to send money using Amazon WebPay.
I signed up for this, gonna try it. I'm wondering if these types of "purchases" will qualify for miles? Has anyone tried it yet?

If it does, I'm currently getting 50% bonus miles on my AA Mastercard. I'll be racking it up too until the offer expires the end of Feb

Same...went for the cheaper spend thresholds...but I did a personal and biz app...so I have to spend $3k for 150k miles. I'm about to cross the $1500 threshold for the personal card....

Got declined for too short of credit history and too many inquires recently, apparently 11 years is not long enough I have a 720 score. Pretty disappointed I have never been declined.

You may have mentioned this already, but the coins you are buying do you break 100% even when it is all said and done or is there a slight difference you're paying, ie shipping, tax, any other misc fee.

I currently have the 30k American Express card and I get constant offers for the 100k miles. I may be interested.

100% even, zero charges for anything. I just ordered more coins yesterday, and have been using Amazon to move money back and forth too (also no fees or penalty).

the extra $8500 in spending for 25,000 points wasnt worth it to me. I just singed up for both cards. I will easily hit $3k...not going to hit $20k.

Amazon payments has a limit of $1,000 dollars in credit card transactions a month (unless you have a business account and that comes with fees). I'm not sure if that is a calendar month or a real 30 days. But what I've done is create additional accounts and added my same CC# and bank account info and transfered another $1K from it. I'm up to four accounts so far LOL.

I'm surprised their system doesn't say that this credit card or bank account is already in use when you add it to another one, I think I'll create a couple more tomorrow and rack up this $10K by the end of the month

The answer to this is Yes, got a new statement yesterday. I received miles for the Amazon Payments transacations. I'll have my additonal 50K miles this month It's amazing how quickly you can rack up charges with mulitple Amazon accounts and ordering coins.

I'm gonna keep this up for a while, it costs nothing, and nets me a free 5K+ miles every month.

I'm fixing to pull the plug on this deal. Gonna do the app tonight. I'm wondering if there are any ramifications involved if i were to cancel the new card after I receive the miles? I don't need two credit cards.

I may get two for the missus as well. That would be 300,000 credit card miles. But I would close one of each of ours so we only have one card each when it's all said and done.

It should post on your next statement following you meeting the minimum spending amount. I've officially recevied my 100K miles, already in my aadvantage account.
