  • So, I guess Ive been working with a serial bank robber

So, I just saw on the my local news that the FBI just arrested a guy today that has robbed several Oklahoma City banks over the past several months. And turns out that it's a guy that I worked with, that just got laid off from my company about 10 days ago. It's just kind of weird seeing this guy that I worked with everyday, being a bank robber. He was a little different, but could never in a million years imagine a guy like him to do something of the sorts. I guess he was literally going to lunch robbing banks, and then nonchalantly coming back to work.....and finishing out his day. And I mean...hes a white collar, sit behind a desk, corporate kind of guy. I still can't rap my head around the whole thing.

When he was fired a few weeks ago, he didn't take it well and made hella scene when being escorted out. HR almost had to call the police, and we all made the comment that he's the kind of guy who could go "postal."

This guy has a wife, and 2 young kids...and it just blows my fucking mind. I can't imagine what his family is going thru to lose their father right before Christmas. And for him to do something so stupid.

What drives people to do ignorant shit like this?

Robbing banks seems to be the cool thing to do now.

I guess when you feel your back is up against the wall. You just flip your shit and go crazy. I might end up doing the same damn thing myself if and when I lose my shit.

          Sware to God.

Interestingly enough, I was just having this conversation with my wife.....That the only thing He and I ever really talked about, was Breaking Bad. He and I were late to the party in watching the series...and started season 1 at the same time. So we would typically talk about the show between the two of us, while everyone else, was several seasons ahead.

That's always a weird gut check. Back in 04 I was getting ready for work and had the news on running in the background. I heard a name I thought sounded familiar, so I stopped what I was doing, and sure enough, this guy I had worked in the same store with for a year had abducted a child and Arlington PD caught him in the back of a car with her. Short chase ensued, he got busted. Just sickening. Turned out he already had a history, too. Funny, I always thought there was something wrong with him and went out of my way to avoid talking to him. Still weirds me out.

Yes. "He and I" would be the grammatically correct way to explain, that this bank robber guy....and myself, would engage in conversation. Typically on those occasions, the only topic of discussion would be about the television show "Breaking Bad."

But yes...I could have done a better job of explaining, that I was telling my wife about this guy. And that "he" was obviously referencing this bank robber guy...and not my wife.

Posted via IPhone. Didn't look that shitty originally, in breaking everything up. But I appreciate the kind words.

I would also assume that his connection to Breaking Bad, would be the white collar "Average Joe" kind of guy committing crimes, under the guise of being an everyday All American family man. And I couldn't agree more with the correlation.

Its is weird when youre in contact with what seems a normal person and then find out they've done something crazy.

When I work at Huffines Chevy in Lewisville, in 09-10, I was and estimator at that time. I was working on a green S10 job. The owner was a elderly man, reminded me of Wilferd Bremly (sp?), the quaker oats guy. He was the calmest sweetest man. We we did the job delivered the vehicle, I thought he was one of the nicest customers. About 2 -3 months later, Im in the kitchen at the house and I hear his name. I perked up and watched the news. I dont remember the details, but he ended up going to lunch with a young lady friend of his and killed her in that very same truck in Carrollton. What little dealing I had with him, I would have never thought he was capable of something like that.
