If there is anything good out, we'll also see a movie. This year will be the first in 15 years that its more than us as my GF is joining us to celebrate and join in the fun.

The point isnt the gifts, its the time spent with those you love.

Christmas Eve dinner and presents at my dads, Christmas Day we go to my wife's sisters and then her aunts for a late lunch. We go to my uncles ranch the weekend following Christmas for a gift exchange there with the rest of the family.

Gay or not, that mothufucker smells better than a freshly bloomed yellow rose...

Haven't celebrated a real Xmas in god knows how long. The family is never together because of issues. Nephews wont be here because their mother has issues with us; even after everything i did to help her raise those 2 boys. My brother was always locked up; still is. My sister would be over seas. It's the time of the year I always hate. But I try to make the most of it with my son. Over the years I've taught him that Xmas isn't about the gifts you get. It's about spending time with the ones you love and being grateful for it. This year won't be any different. I don't think I'll ever celebrate a true Xmas until I have a family of my own.

I'm the same way. My parents got a very nasty divorce, and then my mom remarried at complete jackass. My dad married an awesome chick, and her family was really cool too. I looked forward to spending time with them, and hated that I had to spend it with my mom and her husband. They would intentionally be pricks around the holidays, not let me go with my dad before midnight, take me to the airport, etc. So I grew to hate holidays.

Now that I am married with kiddos of my own, I am doing my best to keep the holidays fun, and I've kicked my mom out of my house on christmas day because she was being a bitch.

Keep your head and your spirits up.

I have a friend whose dad (divorced) was always like that. One year his dad had to work all day christmas, but wouldn't let him go to moms. He just sat home by himself all day.

                              See, that's bullshit.

I got to hear the judge tell my parents to grow up, and try to act more mature, since their son was the only one that wasnt acting like a child of us. It was pretty humorous and sad at the same time.

Dinner and gift with family Christmas Eve, lunch with step family Christmas day. I usually hit the bar with friends Christmas eve, after all the family stuff with nondrinkers a drink is usually needed.
