I could kind of see that.. Certainly much more that I can see garbage man and mail man.

I will say that there have been a couple of times when my garbage man came up my driveway to grab my cans when I forgot to put them out.. And even brought the empty's back up. I called their offices up and got routed to his manager, and expressed my gratitude and complimented the guy. The manager seemed very pleased to hear it and said he would make sure to recognize him for the job well done.

I liked our old mail man.. He was really cool, plus he looked like Hootie (yes I know that's not his name). No tip for him but I did hold a table for him when having a garage sale on Saturday, and cut him a deal on it.

I've never gone that far, but have dropped a $20 tip on a bill under $20 on occasion. And have done a full 100% tip on higher bills before. But not because of the season, because of fantastic service.

Our mailman is a fucking asshole. I told my old lady to give him a tip today. If he knocks, only knock once, if no one answers either leave the package or leave a notice. Do not stand there beating on the freaking door trying to get someone to answer it.

Holy shit! The mail lady for our house does the same thing, but with her fucking truck horn. 2-3 minutes of that shit can get really annoying.

My old lady lived on tips for a long time, i have (some) sympathy for those who do. i'm usually tipping 40 or 50% on all my tabs. Hell the pizza guy royally fucked up my order a few hours ago and i still tossed him 8 on a 15 check. I just don't think motherfuckers expecting a tip for doing the job they signed up for should be rewarded. the fucking mailman doesn't deserve a tip for getting my mail to the box on a daily basis, thats his job. I don't get tipped for doing my job, and it's a fuckton more important than a parking lot attendant, fry cook, barista, or any other nonsense.. but since they chose the shit job they deserve a tip? not how I see it.

I HATE the postal service, but I have to admit, my postal guy is great. I get a ton of cars parts shipped, many come through USPS. I am way off the main road where my box is. He drives down my road and will get the packages to my doorstep rather than leave a slip for me to come to the post office.

No shit, we have the community mailboxes every few streets and the dipshit always misdelivers the mail. Glad all my bills are online.
