It's the best built and most durable/reliable SUV on the planet. Land cruisers are used in every corner of the planet for a reason. Huge resale value too.
It's also very safe and capable which is important since my wife is going through cancer and when we went to get blood work Friday morning through the ice, it's hard to describe how effortless the drive was in the LX. It weighs 6,000lbs, so between that weight and the very advanced all-wheel drive system and suspension, the drive (15 miles each way) was a non-event.
Anyway, I did a ton of research and I got a deal I was happy with on a new leftover '13 and we look forward to many years of problem-free service.Ford

Recent issue of Motortrend had Angus do a quick editorial bit on the Landcruiser. 3 of the best off-road SUV's on the planet did a 1,500 mile trek across Australia before arriving to where Angus would take delivery of a diesel Land Cruiser. When the drivers arrived after the 1,500 mile Outback trek, the brand new Range Rover had both rear shocks blown out, the G-class Mercedes had a weird clunk in the front of the vehicle somewhere. The Land Cruiser was washed and Angus commented that it felt and drove like it just left the showroom after the 1,500 mile abusive run.
It's built to an engineering and durability standard unlike any other vehicle on the market. That is one reason it's not cheap.Ford
