Made the mistake of christmas shopping in mesquite today. I had to get out of there before I ran some of those no driving mother fuckers off the road. Everything is thawed out, yet people still drive like assholes. You don't need to slam on the brakes at every bridge... My personal favorites are the ones that creep up the steep overpass. If it were icy, creeping wouldn't help, you wouldn't make it to the top.

    And ignored Grayson.

Though, I hear a lane of 75 is open. Still haven't left the house. My neighborhood street is still solid ice. The main thoroughfare is doing a little better with the light traffic on it and the two main roads have ruts cut in them. I'll stay at home one more night and let others, and hopefully more sun, take care of the roads.

Haven't even tried to drive the Lightning in this weather...been using the front wheel drive car. I've slid a few times because I wanted it.

That sucks. Who is responsible in that situation? Is it just "act of God" or does the complex have to pay?

Left Rowlett on PGBT to my way to Grand Prairie, 1.5 hours later I was at Dallas North Tollway so I called my boss to cancel my meeting. Got home in 25 minutes. People heading east were a bunch of babies, plus there was a few wrecks. Saw 2 wrecks on the way home, tried to accelerate going up a bridge with a RWD vehicle.

People need to learn how to drive in the ice like they do not have brakes.

Just drove around Arlington a bit and it was pretty much completely fine. Only ice I encountered was on the Davis bridge, and it is VERY thick and heavy and cobblestoned on it. Then I got to watch the morons slamming on their brakes on it.

I didn't see a wreck but once I heard the two left lanes were closed on I-35 SB at Fox Ave I decided to turn back home.
