  • Lets talk coveralls....

Working in this cold is killing me and my dad we both wear thermals under our uniforms and a nice insulated Carhartt jacket, but its not enough.

Im looking for a good quality coverall that is waterproof, flame resistant and of course well insulated for cold temps.

Ive checked out Cintas and Northern but no luck.

    Suggestions?

Tractor Supply sells insulated Carhartt coveralls. I used to rock a set when I hunted more.

Walls outlet off of Risinger Rd. in Ft. Worth, a lot of stuff is marked down 80% right now, just got restocked today. I was really surprised at the selection and that it wasn't all odd ball sizes.

I kind of doubt you are going to find FR stuff at most places suggested. You usually have to be in an area with lots of oilfield to find that.

I wear Carhartt insulated bibs, get the ones that unzip all the way to your hips its a lot easier to get in and out of with layers on. Sheplers usually has them and they always have 20% off coupons in the paper. If its really cold under armour or pantyhose can really help...

Do you want coveralls, or a bibs and a coat.

I've got the carharrt arctic stuff. its black in color. I can go sit in the snow at -12 for a few hours before i get cold.

The most important thing is really the first layer as well. But some quality baselayers and you will thank me.

This, I have some compression fit Nike shirts/pants. If I isn't sub 40 degrees I usually end up sweating, too hot, or taking off layers.

What else are you wearing? I'm about to switch back to an outdoors job and I have to wear FRC's, so coveralls aren't really an option for me.
