The quality seems slightly better on most movies comparing bluray to HD digital, but who knows. I've got something like 600 movies, I'm not going to convert these fuckers again. Half of them I've owned on vhs, dvd, and now bluray.

Back with DVDs we used to buy every single new one that came out every Tuesday. Blu-rays, I only buy the visually attractive ones that I know will actually look better than DVD, so we rarely buy them.

Good to know. I know its that way with CDs over MP3s. The sound quality on a decent system is light years better with an actual CD than anything you can play through an Ipod. I'll keep buying Blurays for now.

I buy select movies on Blu ray just to vote on them with my wallet. Most of the blu ray ones i get also have a dvd copy along with the digital version. I let my admin here at the shop watch the digital copy at her desk and my son watches the dvd versions while we are going down the road. We get full mileage out of them.

I say that you should replace all of your collection with BR. Then, in 5 years, replace it again with 4k2k media.
