  • What days off are you getting this holiday season?

Trying to determine days off at work and with everything hitting on Wednesdays, it's a pain.

I was thinking 24-26 and 30th & 1st. Does that sound fair? I don't even know anymore, I tend to work pretty much every day.

Where I'm at, we have just Dec. 24th & 25th off and Jan. 1st. So, what you're offering is more than what I'm getting.

          All of them.

My wife is a director at an ad agency and they have always closed from Christmas Eve until Jan 2nd (or next business day).

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I'd bet my mom shuts her businesses (two very small ones) down officially for 24-25 only, but lets anyone take whatever time off they need during the week of Christmas, even if it means doing some acrobatics to manage customer expectations during that week. As for me? Shit, I'm off right now!

We kind of just do our own thing here. We are on call 24/7 anyway, so its not really a big deal if we are "in the office."

Our company Xmas holiday this year is 12-23 to 12-25, then 26th and 27th are our "Winter Shutdown" to make the entire week off for everyone.... but support.

I'm working M, Th Fri that week, but get off 3 more days next year, plus off NY day.
