Well Playa was awesome!! We did the Xplor and Chichen Itza. Xplor was cool, first time to zip line and it was an experience. Chichen Itza was really cool. The Mayan history given by the tour guide was bad-ass...truly an amazing piece of history. Kinda sucked coming back to freezing temps but we're glad to be back.

Our only regret was using Bookit.com. They screwed up the reservation. The wife wanted beach front and the adult only section so when she was making the selections on their site it messed up and gave an error with booking the hotel. When she called they said all was good. But when we get there, we discover that BookIt didn't pay the hotel so we had to put it on our credit card till we sort it out. Bad part is the tours were all day activities so by the time we got back, BookIt and the hotel reservation department was closed. The problem was that the adult only section was on the opposite side from the beach front. It was for our 15 year anniversary so we were wanting the adult side with champaign and Jacuzzi in the room... beach front was still nice so we made the best of it.

I am glad my recomendation to do Xplor worked out for y'all. We did zip lines once 7 years ago and were hooked from the start. Now we do them everywhere we go that offers them.

We have been going twice a year since 2002. We love the secrets resorts (tried them all) but over all be think you get better bang for your buck at the excellence resorts or el dorado sea side suites. We will be leaving next week for Excellence playa mujeres.

Btw secrets Capri is a blast but not for more than three days because it is so small (did 7 days - way to long). secrets maroma beach is way overrated and over priced!!
