  • 190mph bike chase and backtalk...so who was it?

No doubt if not a DFWMer, then someone knows the fool. LOL. BTW, how do they fuckup a look up to where the bike shows up stolen when it isn't?

    DALLAS -
The motorcyclist who police chased Tuesday morning was going so fast even Air One had trouble keeping up with him.

It happened just after midnight on the North Dallas Tollway near Royal Lane. A Department of Public Safety trooper tried to pull over the suspect for speeding.

Instead, he drove away at a high speed. In the chase that followed he reached speeds of well over 100 miles per hour.

He covered in all about 73 miles through north Dallas on the tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, Central Expressway, Interstate 635, Interstate 35, Interstate 30, Highway 161 and then Interstate 20 into Arlington.

The suspect was about to hit Highway 287 near Fort Worth when he ran out of gas.

As he was being arrested, police said the suspect boasted about how fast he was able to go. He said it was as high as 189 mph. He also sounded a little bummed because he said he had just gotten a full tank of gas.

He was identified as 31-year-old William Pfohl of Dallas. He was charged with evading arrest.

At first officers believed the bike was stolen out of Florida, but it turns it wasn't.

I thought the various police involved had no chase policies? How many people were put in danger by the chase?

Cities have that policy. Troopers can do what they want

Why would you keep going on the freeway? Run it out, get a big lead, exit and hide out on side streets...

Not sure I buy 189 or 190 but he should have gotten away if he could have averaged around 100+

Not that I am condoning what he did or downplaying the fact that he ran for 70 damn miles without being stopped.

On a 1k 190 INDICATED is not unheard of, but in all actuality was probably 160-170

my 600rr indicated almost 167 when pegged, but that bike is only capable of 155 or so

Obviously, you need to do what jakesford said and that is get a big lead, take an exit once you're out of eyesight of the pursuing cop, hit side streets and blend in quickly. That keeps the helicopter out of the equation.

But....once a helicopter is involved in the chase, where do you go? DFW airport for airspace restrictions? Downtown to a bunch of high-rise buildings and ditch the car/bike in a parking garage? etc?
