              "Hypothetically" you would be needlessly and recklessly escalating the situation. Even if you don't pull a person with an average IQ level would take that as you reaching for a gun.




              Try this situation out. Hypothetically if course.

              You are a chl holder, she is a chl holder. She says she's going to take those from you. You say she isn't. She continues to yell but is otherwise non violent. You reach towards your waistband, she interprets that as you reaching for a gun (which you are) and as she has been nonviolent and you escalate the situation with a needless show of force. She pulls her gun because she feels threatened. Bad way all around.



              That story is pretty far fetched but I hope you see my point. Even the thought coming to your head about "hypothetically" going to (putting your hand on or near) your weapon makes me think you need to do some more evaluating on if you should be carrying or not. With the original situation there is no reason the thought of your weapon should even come up. Take some classes and learn a bit more.

                The whole thing came out wrong and has been blown a little out of proportion. Let me be clear that I in no way would have done what I came up with in that hypothetical situation. Sorry I commented in this thread to start with.

                  Ben, I'm just curious because of recent events, how many classes have you taken?
                  It seems that you and Jeremy have been shooting frequently and that you have both grown in knowledge.

                      I've probably taken about 4-5. With my new job I'm about to be able to shoot more/ take a lot more classes.
