Chl guys, how bad of form would it have been if a chl holder would have at that point where the lady starts to threaten taking said products just placed his hand in the area of his waste band where he was carrying? Not exposing a gun at all but just putting her on notice that you are not going to allow being attacked?

No serious (visible) threat of imminent danger, and someone threatening to take something from your possession (that you don't actually own yet) is not grounds for lethal force.

If anything, he could have stepped back, put his hands up in the "stop", raised his voice and yelled, "Stop! Stand back!" or something to that effect. It would have set him up now as the victim, trying to defend himself, trying to deescalate the situation by removing himself. Cameras and people would hear it as witness. IF she continued to pursue or accost, THEN present to the ready.

It was pure hypothetical. It's not my personal feelings. Unfortunately people that will yell at you over 2 bottles of gas drops when they already have 8 are the kind that are stupid enough to escalate a situation to force over such trivial things.
