I have my 87GT, currently in Mesquite. I will always have a soft spot for Foxbodies, no matter how "old and raggedy" they get.

My first one was a 91GT I bought from my brother, loved that car, but someone decided they wanted it more than me, stole it, and set the bitch on fire... Then when my brother passed away he left me his 87GT, so I am keeping this one locked up inside and don't plan on getting rid of it.

I will always have at least one (got 6 now) and I turn a wrench on some sort of fox every week . They are just like my legos when I was a kid , don't feel right without em .

I feel like I'm on my own on this one, but I never liked fox bodies. I know they can be fun as hell to drive, but they've always been ugly to me. I like the driveline enough to put a 5.0 and T-5 in the 66 though, so it's not all bad.

              I am a 4 eye guy and I hate the 87-93 gt's so I don't think you are alone .

IMO I cannot love a car anymore than I love the looks of a 93 cobra. I sold mine a long time ago, and I have missed it every since. I used to love coupes, but I dont care for the looks of them as much as I used to. I like the LX hatch tho.

btw, do they sell a brake upgrade kit for the 93 cobras that keeps the 4 lug? I gotta keep the fans

Like everyone else, I've had several Fox cars. They are honest, nuts-and-bolts cars with no black boxes - and they're fun to work on. They're a little primitive for daily duty. The interiors suck, especially the ubiquitous busted-ass ashtray door.

It is kind of a pain in the ass that half the bolts are SAE and half are metric, lol.

Hahah, this is where I get to have fun with the nature of subjectivity. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beer holder.

Those are the redeeming qualities of the fox body. All of which are shared with a classic except for the ashtray and metric bolts part. That, and classics are universally regarded as a beauty (some years/models excluded).

That said, if I was building an old drag car Mustang, a fox is a better place to start than a classic.

Right, like SRV being better than Hendrix , or '69 Chargers being better than '68s.

Look here, a '69 Charger IS better looking than a '68, with those faggy high mount round side markers. Jesus, I need to teach you fuckers everything.

I still have a couple, but the only one that is currently running is the coupe I bought from Joes01bullitt
