So far I've had 2 cervical epidural steroid injections into my neck next to my spinal cord, which are day surgeries where they put me all the way under. I've had good results in the treated area, however the problem is that while the worst pain gets better, all the other pain centers are suddenly 10 times more noticeable with the shifted focal point and amped up to about an 8.5 or 9.

Good to see that you're doc was able to find something that you're responding well to. With the pain having been dramatically decreased do you think that some limited physical rehab may be an option now?

I read the article wrong at first, but it also reduces cravings for booze as well as helping you sleep better.

I'm cleared to do some walking, and VERY light weights. that's probably about it for now.

I drink maybe once a month these days. Didn't even drink at the Halloween party a couple of weeks ago.

Who is your doc? My brother was wheeled into Dr Bartolomei at Spine Team Texas and walked out of the office yesterday. Everyone else told him he was screwed, ya might want to look him up. Gabapentin is also used for Restless Leg Syndrome. My girl takes it every night and it helps a lot.

That sucks man. I'm starting with 400mg for 5 nights, then eventually moving up to 1200 a day. I'll take any bit of improvement at this point. What sucks is the hydro used to do a great job. I'm hoping I don't just get used to this stuff like I have it and end up back at the start line. I really need to find a new career that isn't so physical. The decline of my health has been very effected by job requirements over the last 2 years.

ALso, i had the esi injections about 7 years ago. It helped a lot. My problems are all lower back related, but it's the sciatica this killing me.

I HIGHLY recommend an inversion table. I get instant relief after only a few minutes.

Noted. My biggest problem is the diversity of my back and neck problems. I might fix one area, then another just takes its place.

Might I ask what spurred all the trouble in the first place?
